A Kitchen Transformation: From Ordinary to Extraordinary

Turning a client's expectations on their head!

Sometimes, a simple job description can lead to extraordinary opportunities. Such was the case when we were tasked with fitting a kitchen from another major supplier. When we visited the customer, we quickly realised that they did not feel inspired by the design they had been given. Their existing kitchen was small and barely meeting their needs. In a spontaneous moment, we proposed a radical idea that would completely transform their space.

During our initial visit, we engaged in a brief chat with the customer, seeking to understand their vision for their kitchen. We discovered that they had an unused room adjacent to their existing kitchen, which they affectionately referred to as the "nothing room”, as they already had a lounge and dining room. Inspired by their enthusiasm, we suggested the idea of transforming this room into a stunning kitchen breakfast room. The customers became very excited, although they expressed concerns about the potential cost.

Undeterred by the cost concerns, we assured the customers that the additional expenses would primarily be for the necessary services, while the furniture fitting itself would remain relatively similar. With their worries alleviated, we embarked on the task of designing and quoting for the new kitchen, aiming to create a space that would surpass their expectations.

After careful planning and meticulous execution, the day finally arrived when we unveiled the new kitchen. The customers were beyond thrilled with the transformation. The once underwhelming and cramped space had been reborn into a spacious and functional kitchen breakfast room. The seamless integration of the existing kitchen and the new addition brought a sense of unity and flow to their home.

The customers' initial hesitation about the cost was replaced with sheer satisfaction and gratitude with the end result. They realised that sometimes, thinking outside the box and exploring new possibilities could lead to extraordinary outcomes. The decision to move the kitchen to the rear room not only provided them with a beautiful space to cook and gather but also added value to their home and enhanced their daily lives.
